In Italy, that day was in 1998, and ever since then disposable soft plastics have had to be made out of biodegradable corn byproducts, as required by EU law.
Here in America, we know that ONE DAY our human family will possess the scientific capabilities to make all things biodegradable. On that day, the world will no longer toil under the crushing weight of soft plastic supermarket bags and styrofoam cups. On that day we will stop generating islands the size of Australia out of Gatorade and Tide containers. It's not today, but it will be someday, and that day will be a great day!
