The word for angry in Italian is "arrabbiato," the root of which is "rabbia." That is, "rabies" (that disease where dogs and wild animals lose their minds, foam at the mouth, and bite everybody...). Again from Mirriam Webster: "an acute virus disease of the nervous system of mammals [...] that is characterized typically by increased salivation, abnormal behavior, and eventual paralysis and death."
